National competition - 2008

13th national competition – 7th Croatian evaluation exhibition of model ships «Rijeka 2008» was organised under the sponsorship of President of Republic Croatia, Primorsko-Goranska county and City of Rijeka from 29th till 18th December 2008. in Multimedia Center on Školjić. On national competition participated 31 ship modelers with 50 exhibitis. Gold medal was won by: Josip Rumora (Vasa). Silver medal was won by: Mladen Mitić (Brik Halifax), Željko Skomeršić (Triton, presjek i Brik).  Bronce medal was won by: Robert Rosić (Neatherland's fishboat Zuiderzee Botter), Vinko Balas (Tegljač Rijavec), Zdenko Kinjerovac (Submarine U5), Vladimir Robotić (Tegljač Strongbow), Vinko Balas (Tegljač Venus), Mili Šantić (Galeone Mediceo S. Giovanni Battisa a.d. 1598) i Željko Skomeršić (Leut Accompanying exhibition program consisted of: contests for the visitors, the exhibition of children's works, art workshop, children's workshops, courses for the boat, and other content. The exhibition was visited by a total of 2623 visitors.
