National competition - 2006

11th national competition – 6th Croatian evaluation exhibition of model ships «Rijeka 2006» was organised under the sponsorship of President of Republic Croatia, Primorsko-Goranska county and City of Rijeka from 2nd till 14th December 2006 in Multimedia Center on Školjić. On national competition participated 31 modeler of whom 2 were juniors with 62 exhibits. Gold medal was won by Željko Skomeršić (Galijun La Belle). Silver medal was won by: Josip Rumora (Yacht “Groβe Jacht”), Luciano Keber (School ship Vila Velebita II), Željko Skomeršić (Brik Škuner and french fishboat Marie Jeanne), Goran Jukić (Pinco genovese) i Bogoljub Dokmanović (French cross goleta “L’Etoile”). Bronce medal was won by Željko Skomeršić (Falkuša), Vladimir Robotić (Lučki tegljač Michel), Branimir Šoić (Štilac Željan), Goran Jukić (Leudo siciliano), Željko Fredotović (Brik Polaris), Nikola Budimir (Kliper Thermopilae), Slobodan Car (Brik Polaris). Accompanying exhibition program consisted of: contests for the visitors, the exhibition of children's works, art workshop, children's workshops, courses for the boat, and other content. The exhibition was visited by a total of 2436 visitors.
