National competition - 1999

Croatian evaluation exhibition of ship models "Rijeka '99", by national rules, under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Communications, Primorsko-Goranska county and the city Rijeka is becoming a traditional event. Exibition of model ships is has evaluation character, highlight is the test of quality and accuracy of model production. The ultimate goal of the exhibition is to gather as many modelers and expanding their skills and art. That is the best way to preserve the beauty and richness of shipbuilding, maritime and fishing heritage of Croats. The exhibition was held from 05th till 15th May 1999. in Filodramatica. 36 modelers with over 50 models participated.
Golden medal was won by: Željko Skomeršić (Bark), Mladen Mitić (Brigantin). Silver medal was won by: Luciano Keber (Trabakul), Milojko Mandić (Brik škuner), Željko Skomeršić (Loger i Bracera), Mladen Mitić (Galijun), Žaja i pl. Franić (Falkuša), Nenad Bojmić (Dubrovnik's galijun). Bronce medal was won by: Antun Pavličević (Tartana i  Kekija), Vlastimir Vekarić (Nava), Toni Miknić (Korčulanski kaić), Giovanni Trani (Battana), Andrej Napica (Patač), Sašenko Franić (Viška svićarica i Betinska gajeta), Josip Rumora (Raketna topovnjača i Jadranske brodice), Milojko Mandić (Dubrovački galijun), Stanislav Crnjević (Fregata), Albert Martinović (Dubrovačka koka), Pero Maldini (Dubrovačka pulaka), Marin Iljidica (Bracera), Damir Maretić (Falkuša), Nenad Bojmić (Dubrovačka galijica).
